How to apply for the XPRENEURS program
We ask you for some information on the basic cornerstones of your business (e.g. your team, product/service, business model, and market).
In addition, we also ask you to submit a short informal video introducing your team (max. 3 minutes).
Please also upload your up-to-date pitch deck (max. 15 slides).
We generally accept start-ups from a wide range of fields.
As minimum criteria, we require that your business model is based on a technological innovation, and that you already have a committed founder team (with at least one full-time founder).
You do not need to have an incorporated company yet.
First, we check if your application fulfills the minimum selection criteria for the XPRENEURS program.
Then we will rate the different aspects of your application (e.g. product/service, team, or business model) on a scale from 1 to 5.
The best 35-40 start-ups will be invited to pitch in front of the team.
Finally, we will select 10-20 start-ups to participate in our program.
Selection pitches take place on August 2-3.
We will send out acceptance and rejection messages by August 10 at the latest.

(We are also able to refer you to another UnternehmerTUM program if we feel it is a better fit for your current start-up stage!)

About the XPRENEURS program
The program duration is 3 months from Kickoff to our XHIBITION Demo Day.
The upcoming Batch #10 runs from September 1 to December 9.
At XPRENEURS Incubator, your start-up team benefits from coachings, workshops, 1:1 sessions with your mentor, our huge network of investor and industry contacts, free office space, perks from partners like Notion or Microsoft and the resources of the UnternehmerTUM community in general!
All of this is free of charge for you! We also take no equity.

Our statistics prove that many XPRENEURS start-ups move on to become highly successful companies!
By June 2021, 88% of the 150+ start-ups that we have accelerated since 2017 are still in business.
70% have received venture funding, and 4 have even made an exit.
Together, all start-ups have raised more than €340 million in funding and employ 1200+ people.
To really get all the benefits out of XPRENEURS, it’s required that all founder team members commit full-time to the program.
We know you’re busy building your start-up, so don’t worry - our program is intense, but customized to focus on what you need at the moment to be successful!
Many of our start-ups find an investor through our contacts and our Demo Day event.
There is also the opportunity to apply for a €5,000 Prototyping Grant through the Industrial Innovators Initiative.
However, XPRENEURS does not give out grants or invest in start-ups.
For most aspects of the program, remote participation will be possible. However, for at least one event we require you to come to Munich.
And last but not least, you might miss some of our awesome social events!
We are always excited to welcome experienced individuals into our XPRENEURS and UnternehmerTUM ecosystem! There are many opportunities to volunteer your time, for example as Companion, Mentor or Industry Expert.
