Munich, Germany – Nov 12, 2024. Google Cloud has closed a cooperation agreement with UnternehmerTUM, Europe’s #1-ranked entrepreneurship ecosystem, to especially support its high-tech start-up incubator XPRENEURS as a sponsoring partner.

XPRENEURS is UnternehmerTUM’s incubation program for high-tech start-ups on their way from initial customer interest to market entry. The program supports early-stage founders in validating their business model, finding their first customers and securing initial investments.

The deepened partnership builds on the existing collaboration between the global tech champion Google and the XPRENEURS program through mentorship and skills workshops on using Google Cloud’s cutting-edge technology for enhancing new business models. Moving forward, all start-ups associated with the UnternehmerTUM cosmos qualify for a 25.000 USD in Google Cloud credits as part of the Google for Startups Cloud Program (https://cloud.google.com/start...).

The new collaboration also strengthens the partners’ mutual commitment to a culture of embracing data-driven insights, and supporting diverse talent, ultimately aiming to propel start-ups and enterprises towards success in the fast-evolving tech landscape.

“Engaging with early-stage start-ups such as those graduating the XPRENEURS incubator programme is key to building the next generation of unicorns running on Google Cloud. Our technology is the perfect platform for scaling and growing a business successfully.”, says Axel Täubert, Head of Startups & Digital Natives at Google Cloud.

Felix Hentzen, Head of VC & Start-up Business Development for EMEA North at Google Cloud, adds: “Ecosystem builders such as UnternehmerTUM with a holistic approach that combines an outstanding technical university with incubators, accelerators, and a venture capital fund are very rare. UnternehmerTUM is one of its kind in Germany, if not in Europe, thus Google Cloud is proud to become their premium partner.”

Barbara Mehner, Managing Partner of XPRENEURS, says: “We love it when long-lasting collaborations thrive and grow into productive partnerships. With their spirit of experimentation, rapid iteration, and learning, Google Cloud is perfectly aligned with our mission to empower the next generation of leading high-tech start-ups.”
